With the debut of our mobile app and growing number of artists for which we can provide Real Time Valuations (RTVs), including Albert Bierstadt, Emile Gruppe, and Sam Francis, ARTBnk is fast becoming the perfect auction and art fair companion.

Recently NPR's Todd Bookman met up with ARTBnk co-founder Jamie LaFleur at Art Basel Miami to put ARTBnk’s Real Time Valuation to the test. If you’re not familiar with the concept of RTV, think of it like Zillow's Zestimate for homes, and Kelley's Blue Book for vehicles. While there are some differences, RTV provides art buyers and sellers with an accurate data-driven valuation, the first of its kind in the market.

Although value will always be in the eye of the beholder, ARTBnk RTV provides an unbiased and independent assessment, so you can enter every transaction informed and with confidence.

Enjoy the broadcast in its entirety and be sure to check out a few examples of RTV from Art Basel below.
